Practice areas
Focused expertise in two fields where English-speaking clients need counsel who knows both legal systems.
01 — Family Law
International Divorce & Family Law
Divorce is difficult in any language — more so across borders, jurisdictions and cultures. I represent English-speaking and binational couples through French divorce proceedings, protecting what matters most: your children, your assets and your future.
Many of my clients arrive unsure which country’s law even applies to them, or worried that an unfamiliar system will work against them. Part of my role is simply to make the process legible: what French judges actually look at, what timeline to expect, and where you have more room to negotiate than you think.
- International & expatriate divorce Jurisdiction, applicable law and strategy for cross-border couples.
- Child custody & relocation Parental authority, residence and international relocation matters.
- Prenuptial agreements & matrimonial regimes Structuring and protecting assets before and during marriage.
- Prestation compensatoire Spousal compensation claims and defense under French law.

02 — Employment Law
Workplace Harassment & Discrimination
No one should endure harassment or discrimination at work. I defend US citizens and English-speaking employees working for American companies in France and across Europe — holding employers to account and securing fair outcomes.
If you are a U.S. citizen, being hired outside the United States does not place you outside the protection of U.S. employment law. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the ADEA, and the ADA extend to American citizens employed abroad by U.S. companies — and by foreign companies under American control. A U.S. citizen working in Paris, Brussels, or Geneva for an American employer can bring harassment and discrimination claims before the EEOC and the U.S. courts, under U.S. standards, with U.S. remedies. Admitted in both California and Paris, I represent American citizens across France and Europe in exactly these cross-border disputes.
